Overview

Pho King Restaurante Vietnamita, nestled in the vibrant Colonia Condesa of Mexico City, offers an authentic taste of Vietnam that transports you straight to the streets of Hanoi or Saigon. Located on Av. Tamaulipas 107, this Vietnamese restaurant is a hidden gem for those craving traditional flavors blended with fresh ingredients and expert preparation. Calling +52 55 1857 5229 will connect you with a welcoming staff eager to share their culinary heritage.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Pho, with options like the rich Beef Pho and the tender Phở Tái that showcase a broth simmered for hours, balancing depth and clarity. The Beef Tail Pho Noodles are a hearty choice, delivering both texture and essence in every spoonful. For diners seeking variety, the Phoking Ramen and Ramen Vietnamita offer a creative take on classic soups, while the Gyosas and Bún Chả Nem bring flavorsome bites perfect for sharing.

Many patrons emphasize the freshness and authenticity of the dishes. For instance, the pork belly bao buns stand out with the ideal harmony of crispy fat and tender meat—a highlight of the experience. Fried spring rolls and egg rolls receive praise for their crispness and flavor, though some note occasional inconsistencies on busier nights. Café Trúng, the traditional egg coffee, caps the meal with a bold, creamy finish that complements the savory dishes perfectly.

The atmosphere at Pho King is casual and inviting, suited for intimate dinners or small groups. Some reviews mention the challenges of serving larger parties due to language barriers, as the staff primarily speaks Spanish while some guests communicate in Vietnamese or English. Despite this, the energy remains warm and the service attentive, making the restaurant a reliable spot for both locals and tourists exploring Mexican-Vietnamese fusion.

Pho King clearly targets food lovers eager for authentic Vietnamese cuisine without leaving Mexico City. Whether you seek comfort on a rainy day or want to indulge in time-honored recipes, this spot delivers genuine flavors with a Mexican twist. Despite minor hiccups on busy nights, the overall experience is flavorful, satisfying, and deeply rooted in Vietnamese culinary traditions. A visit here is well worth the journey, promising memorable bowls of pho and delightfully fresh appetizers.

I tried to come to this restaurant in the past but even though Google said it was open it was closed. But today however, it was open and im glad it was As someone that spent many weeks traveling through Thailand im more familiar with their food. However I grew up with Vietnamese immigrant friends and often ate at their homes. Pho King definitely brings the flavors of Vientnam to Mexico City. The Pho had a very nice authentic broth, the bao buns were incredible. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and had the right ratio of fat and meat. The fried spring rolls were very good too. Honestly I cant complain about anything, the food was extremely good and the service and atmosphere were good. I'd definitely eat here or order from here again. Next time I'd try some of their Thai dishes too!

Came to eat as a large group. The food tasted so good the group decided to come back the next night to eat again. I personally would have gone to another Pho King location in the city. There are 3 to choose from. But oh well. The food was really good the first night but the second night I think the grease started to show being old. The eggrolls were not as crunchy and the grease was pretty obvious. If we hadn't eaten the first night it would've been ok. Nothing to compare. In general the food tasted pretty good tho. The staff had a hard time servicing our large group mainly because of language barriers. Luckily we could speak/read Vietnamese so we knew what to order. All the staff only knew Spanish. The mango salad was fresh. Not as flavorful as other places but still good. I really liked the pho suon bo (oxtail). The mien ga (thin clear noodles) was not as good as I was hoping. The noodles were a lot bigger than expected for that dish. They used the wrong noodles. The combo fried rice was a little light on flavors but I was hungry so it did the trick. It's on the lighter side of flavors but just enough to make it to good. Eggrolls were the best (first night) second night not so good. For service it's a hit or miss. We ordered first because our group was large and we hoped ordering first would get our food out first but instead they keep giving our dish to another table but still in our group. We ordered first but got our food almost last. There is no system to bringing out the orders. As you can guess, lots of confusion, specially with language barrier included. Total chaos. Still it was fun and enjoyable.

Great spot especially on a rainy day. The pho is fresh and delicious. The egg rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. The pho was lacking the toppings. (Mint, basil, etc) but everything was stellar. The service was prime and polite.

I was here over the weekend for lunch. Service was friendly, efficient and on point. The place is also very clean. The food seems fairly authentic (having lived in LA and San Fran with large Vietnamese communities, I’ve had my share of Vietnamese food). I had the bao to start and the asparagus & beef with steamed rice. I should’ve had the Pho! I know. Next time. I live right down the street from this place so I’ll be back. Everything was quite tasty but they missed the mark on the rice! Yes, the rice. :-/ It was overcooked and hard on the edges. Booo. It’s also quite expensive for Mexico City and for what you get. However, the food is decent so if you’re having a craving for Vietnamese food, this is a place to try every now and again to quench the craving. Enjoy!
